The carpet is one of our home decoration element that determine our apartment's mood almost exclusively.
Their color, form, motif and size can vary in great extent, as well as their different weaving technic, type of knotting and the use of materials. They can be used as wall hangings too.
Unique carpetbags, saddlebags, box-covers (mafrash),tent decoration pieces (jolami),rugs used for eating (sofreh) all offer a great possibility for our home decoration.
Hand woven or hand knotted oriental carpets from rustic to the most refined looking, from the nomadic to highly elaborated manufacture rugs, can all be found in our selection.
Some hints on what to look to when purchasing new carpet.
- First of all make shure that the carpet is hand knotted, because the machine made and hand looped rugs are much cheaper than the hand knotted ones.
- Avoid buying carpets with cheap dye materials, since they tend to fade by strong sunlight or their color may bleed when contacting with water.
- Take a good look at the used materials quality (such as silk and wool) and that the carpet lies evenly on the floor ( it can not be wavey).
- Study the knot density on one square centimeter. Take note that the higher the knot density the thinner the carpet is.
- When purchasing a carpet do not forget to ask how to clean it or how to prevent it from moths.
In our Carpet Gallery you can get all the necessary answers to make shure you are making the right choice on buying your carpet.
